Part 5 here
Today we will visit the Mall with Crayola Experience activity center. There only 3 of them in the US – in Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Florida.
Statue with crayons greeted us when we entered the mall.
Everything is very colorful inside. First, kids decided to make personalized crayons for themselves and their friends.

The color and what will be written in the crayon can be selected here

Dad was first!

Kate’s crayon

Ira’s crayon

Pavlik’s crayon

Leaves were trying to escape from the feet
Next we went to the production factory, were we were told and shown the process of crayon creation.

Here they are, peeking out from the holes

Future-to-be crayons are forming under that red layer

Whole bunch of the newborn crayons, still naked

Here they’ve been dressed!

The packing machine
We took a newborn crayon each and went to the painting place.
Next kids went to run in the play structure, then to clay molding.
Dad and Pavlik decided to inspect more activities and went to melt crayons to form some abstract paintings.
We spend a lot of fun time in that mall, and before leaving we went to the water slide and enjoyed it as well.

Close to 11 in the evening we crossed the border with Illinois. Surprise, toll highways! Every several miles there is a payment station that collects money. Sometimes they are on exits too. Most likely there were routs without toll roads, but our Garmin led us only that way.
