Part 46 here
Back in April, while I was busy with moving our blog to the different platform I found pictures from our last Legoland trip in 2013. I was staring at them when kids entered the room and caught me daydreaming. As soon as they noticed the pictures they started to ask questions if we can go to Legoland again. So we thought a little bit and then bought the tickets and booked a room in the Legoland Hotel.
That’s why after finishing all our sightseeing we went to the car and drove in the direction of Los Angeles.

This time around, our room was pirate themed. As soon as we entered, the kids started to argue who gets which bed, and after that, taking the time to study the instructions on how to unlock the safe, they set off to find and count the items to get the code. Inside the safe, candy, legos and a map of the park awaited them.

We hoped that August would bring warm weather to the coast, and we’d be able to try all the water attractions we had missed out on. Alas, like in June 2013, luck just wasn’t on our side. It only warmed up to 70 degrees after lunch, but the chilly wind doused all desire to get wet.
Ignoring this, the younger kids gathered up their swimming gear and spent quite some time in the waterpark. First they splashed around in the wave pool, then floated in the endless river, before running back to our room wrapped in towels, and really wanting to warm up.

The park opened a new ride, Ninjago themed, so that was our first destination. Later we just walked around, occasionally stopping to ride on the carousel, or to look at the miniland. The kids kept exclaiming: Oh, look, we’ve seen that! And we’ve been there!

Time flies when you’re having fun, and we almost didn’t notice when our Legoland adventure came to a close and our vacation was almost over. It was time to return home, to our furry, white fuzzball.
