Over the weekends, the weather on the beach was supposed to be good. We didn’t want to miss a chance to go to the beach in nice weather, as it doesn’t happen very often. In the morning, we got ready to drive to Sand Lake – decently big sand dunes near the ocean.
In the beginning, the weather was misty, but there was pretty much no wind.

We decided not to risk driving down here, as it was very steep.

Dad put on the flag – which is necessary for other people to see our car from far away. We started jumping on small dunes, making screams of delight. Although, one had screams of fear…
After a while of driving on the dunes, we drove over to the ocean, which was very close. Somewhere here our car bottomed out, when trying to drive over a hill three years ago…

Near the ocean there was still some mist, but under the hot sun, which finally showed itself, it slowly went away.

There will be a hole here!
While we were cooking, the kids went to play in the sand.

On the other side of our car, Ira also makes some archaeologist discoveries.

Finally, the food was ready, and the hungry kids get the sand off of themselves, and ran to eat lunch. It is good to eat food on the fresh air.

Pavlik is almost hidden in the hole

The sun is getting warmer and warmer, and the mist is almost gone

Water!!

We found water!
Soon, the kids started putting the sand back in the holes they dug.

It is amazing, the sounds of birds chirping, and the splashing of the waves. When we got home, I made a discovery, that you can get a sunburn even in the end of September. The whole next week I walked around with a sunburned nose 🙂
