Today we are going to another museum. Right after entrance we saw a giant Sloth and near was the wall with fossils.

Next was the hall of fear explorations. Here we had a lot of fun, even if it was a little bit scary from time to time. In one room we saw closed boxes with opening for the hand, so hand can be placed inside, but you don’t see what is inside. Near the box was the glass terrarium full of scorpions and big furry spiders. The terrarium was connected to the box, and the note was left -“dare if you can to check if anyone escaped”. Kids immediately put their hands inside the holes, trying to find anything inside. I knew there is nothing dangerous, but couldn’t force myself to check it. That was a room with fear of animal attack.
Next was the room with fear of loud noises. The person (in our case it was Ira) sat and listened the slightly increasing tone, that gives an additional psychological pressure. And at the end was the loud shot sound. Ira shivered and even fell off the chair.
Near that was the room where we were shocked by electricity. That’s how the fear of electricity shock can be explored.
After that we went to the hall with big aquariums and terrariums. We saw swimming turtles and fish, and how frogs and snakes were basking under the special lamps.

In the center of the hall there was a special terrarium where the two-headed snake lives. Apparently something happened in the very beginning of the embryon development, when it started the division into two (there would be twins), but stopped and didn’t finish the process. Both of the heads can eat, and both of them can control the body. But right head seems to have more control over the left.

Also we saw crocodiles and large swimming turtles.

That was fun but we need to move on.

In the evening we were in Louisiana and decided to have a seafood dinner. I found one restaurant in google Maps, but when we came there we found out that it was closed for renovations. OK, let’s try another – and closed too. That is not good! At least in third place we were able to eat seafood, and Andrey decided to try a backed crocodile nuggets. Well, it does taste good 🙂
After that we went to an interesting place. City Texarcana lies between Texas and Arkansas and has a post office, that stood right on the state line. Half in one state, half in other. So we fooled around a little bit.
