Our Everyday Life

Europe Vacation 2018. Forest Kingdom

This was going to be our last day in Prague and Czech Republic. Also it was our last day with Andrey’s parents – they need to catch a flight. We had a hope to see Alexey and Anna once more later, maybe have dinner together, but unfortunately, the parents needed to go home. So in the morning we had a yummy breakfast, packed our bags and headed south towards Austria.

When we planned our trip we completely forgot that there could be toll roads. We were told by Herz representative, at the time of renting the car, that there are toll roads in Austria, but she didn’t know about Czech Republic. So Google built our route avoiding toll roads, that’s why we were driving some country roads almost parallel to the big highway, sometimes that highway was in line of sight, but never on it. Surprised, we stopped the car at a gas station and checked the settings of the navigation. Surely it was – the avoidance of the toll roads. We bought the sticker, went onto the highway and now we would need much less time to reach our next point of interest.

Near the border with Austria, at the shore of big lake the is a small town named Lipno nad Vltavou. And there is a tree top walkway – a big tower that goes high up into the sky, higher than the tops of the trees. But when we came there kids saw other place that attracted them the most – Forest Kingdom. Unfortunately it was pretty late to visit both and we had to choose, so we went to the Kingdom.

Awesome view from the top

First that kids did was jumping at the giant trampoline

Than they ran into the rope maze

We are not afraid of a challenge 🙂

Dad was sleeping while we played

After kids were tired and ready to continue our journey, we went to the car and drove to Salzburg.

Almost every house has flowers

Here we found one thing that disappointed us a little. At the hotel we arrived around 10pm, and started to look for a restaurant where we can eat at. A lot of places were closed already but there was one cozy, as Google promised, place, one block away from the hotel. Anticipating, we headed there and to our surprise, we were told that the kitchen is closed, so no hot food. Only alcohol.

That was unfortunate, but we still needed to eat, and had to go to McDonald’s. Well, I can say now it is equally disgusting everywhere.
