Our Everyday Life

Beaverton Parade 2015

About a few weeks ago we found out that the New Vision Dance Center kids will take part in Beaverton Parade, which has been held for 58 consecutive years. Since mid-summer girls were learned dance. And finally, that day has come. Some of the roads in the city center were blocked because of the parade. I drove Ira to the meeting point and went to the end point of the parade route, left the car there and walked toward the column. I left my camera at home, because I wasn’t been able to figure out how I’m going to video the dance. Seeing in the distance the head of the column, I stopped and began to wait for them. Our studio had number 79, it was almost the very end of the column, so I had time to take pictures of the other groups.

I saw dogs on leashes, fairy princess, and beauty queens. Then it was a boy riding a giant chicken. The children were delighted to see him and ran to touch the chicken. Each column group had a lot of candies and sweets that were given to the children.

I saw different dance teams and cheerleaders.

I think, there were at least 3 bands.

Finally, I saw our girls in the distance. I was lucky, they began to dance right in front of me. And then I was running down the line trying to video on a cell, avoiding different obstacles such as trees, people sitting along the road and parents of the other girls.

Starting from the place where I met them to the finish line, Ira’s group danced five times. And then I tried to choose the less shaky parts and made the video. Meet the Coolest Cats in town 🙂
