Part 24 here
Today’s plan was go to the most southern point of the United States – Key West. However, when we were on Key Largo, I noticed sign saying something about coral reef. We decided to go and look and found out that here tickets to the excursion to the Coral Reef are sold. Well, that definitely is more interesting than just southern point of the country… Let’s go and see the Reef and fish through the glass at the boat bottom!

We were warned that there are waves up to 3 feet at the Reef location, so we better take some carsick medicine and were given some. We hurried to do so, especially me, I’m very sensitive to the motion sickness. Hopefully it will start working soon, so we will be able to enjoy watching ocean bottom.
While we were moving, the waves weren’t very noticeable.
But when the engine was cut off, the boat started swinging on the waves and some of the passengers rushed to the desk seeking a relief from the motion sickness. I was sitting looking to the view finder of my camera and tried not to look up (if I was looking up I started feeling the motion sickness, but looking down was OK). Our kids laid on the seats and slept already. At the end of excursions we saw a lot of tourists sleeping here and there.
We saw different types of fish, once we spot a shark (it was about 5 feet long). At the end we found a stingray (quite large, 2 feet in diameter, if you can find a diameter in stingray :)) that was hiding under the thin layer of sand, waiting for the food to come closer to him.

At the end we decided not to go to the Key West, it was around 3 pm already and 6 hr road in front of us.
